Dr. Jitendra Awhad: Charting a Vibrant Course in Maharashtra's Political Arena
Dr. Jitendra Awhad has been winning the elections from Kalwa- Mumbra constituency since 2009 onwards. He has a stronghold in the constituency. He is identified as one of the most progressive political thinkers in Maharashtra. He is in charge of the housing department in MVA government.
He has previously served as cabinet minister of Medical Education and Horticulture. He started his political journey from 1999 as the President of the Nationalist Youth Congress. He later served as the party's national secretary in 2006 and worked as a member of the Legislative Council between 2002-2008. He has also served as the NCP-SP’s state working president.
